Guildford County School are excited to be recruiting to this new role of Assistant Headteacher, with responsibility for Digital Transformation, to join the school as part of the Senior Leadership Team as well as to teach up to and including A Level in their subject area. The successful candidate will lead the school in all aspects of digital development, including the formulation and implementation of the school’s Digital Transformation Strategy.

This new role will provide leadership in developing and driving forwards digital initiatives across the curriculum, ensuring that they are aligned with the whole school objectives and development plan. The successful candidate will work alongside all members of the Leadership Team and across the school in moving forward this key element of education in the 21st Century. A capable and enthusiastic trainer and proven leader, you will be able to enthuse, inspire and encourage staff to be inventive and experimental in their use of digital technology in the classroom.

Whilst the specific nature of this vacancy relates to Digital Transformation, at Guildford County School we are committed to ensuring the full and rounded development of colleagues working at this level. As such, we seek to rotate colleagues around these roles when the time is right for the team, in order to give the best possible career opportunities to our Assistant Heads and also to gain fresh skills and ideas for the school. For your interest, we currently have three Assistant Headteachers – AHT Learning and Teaching; AHT Progress and Logistics (responsible for the day to day running of the organisation and for ensuring that we are progress data rich); AHT Director of Sixth Form.
