Guildford County School is extremely fortunate to have fantastic facilities which we are pleased to be able to hire at competitive rates. Convieniently located right in the heart of Guildford we are a five-minute walk from Guildford Train Station and the town centre with onsite parking available.

Providing excellent spaces for hire - suitable for academic, leisure and community activities, rehearsals, sports clubs, meetings, performances and large events.

Indoor Facilities

Classrooms Various Classrooms of different sizes are available to hire, perfect for smaller groups, evening classes or adult education.	Dance Studio The dance studio is suitable for small group dance, exercise, yoga and pilates activities. Included in the room are wall mounted, high quality speakers and newly installed mirrors and ballet barres. It is also suitable for small functions with access to a kitchenette.
Dining Room This is a large room with very high, beautiful, period ceilings, which can be hired with or without tables and chairs. It is perfect for meetings, rehearsals, and small functions.	Humphrey Richardson Taylor (HRT) This is an L shaped hall which can seat up to 125 people and is an excellent venue for business meetings, choir rehearsals or training courses. It comes with a projector and screen.
Concert Hall The Concert Hall has a capacity of 220 seats and is a versatile space for presentations, functions, and community activities. It can be combined with the foyer area (Crush Hall) for breakouts or welcoming guests. The hall has access to disabled toilets.	Mayhew Theatre Opened in 2022, the Mayhew Theatre is a purpose built, multi-use performing arts space. Acoustically designed and with professional sound & lighting equipment, it is an excellent venue for dance/drama performances, musical concerts, education, seminars, conferences, theatre groups, film/comedy nights and special events. With retractable, upholstered, tiered seating for 190, the space can be used as one large area or with a 9m x 4.4m stage. Additional features include a large projector screen, stage curtains and a connecting door to the Humphrey Richardson Taylor Room for green room or interval refreshments.
Sports Hall Opened in 2020, the sports hall is a popular venue, lined for basketball, handball, netball, badminton, volleyball, and houses 2 cricket nets. Availability is very limited.	Library The Library is an inviting space, perfect for informal small group meetings.

This is a large room with very high, beautiful, period ceilings, which can be hired with or without tables and chairs. It is perfect for meetings, rehearsals, and small functions.

MUGA A fantastic 9 a side size All Weather Multi Use Game Area, that can be hired as a whole pitch or two separate 5 a side pitches. It is also marked and suitable for rugby, hockey and netball. This can be hired during after school hours and Saturdays as well as during school holidays for training only. WODELAND SPORTS GROUND Only a short walk from the school, Wodeland Sports Ground it is a great venue to hire for club training, exercise, and outdoor events. With brand new netball, basketball and tennis courts and cricket nets as well as a large, maintained grass field for 9v9 football, rugby practice, rounders, athletics to name a few, the Sports Ground at Wodeland Avenue is available to hire for all your leisure needs. Only available in daylight hours and nearest toilets are at the main school.
