Welcome to the Sixth Form

Our flourishing Sixth Form allows us to offer an extensive range of courses with a wide range of co-curricular activities, yet we are small enough to ensure that all our students are known and valued as individuals. We are an inclusive Sixth Form and we welcome students

of all abilities, from our own Year 11 and from other schools. We ask that you meet our entry requirements and that you commit to the ethos of the Sixth Form.

We are a comprehensive Sixth Form and are proud that our A level results are consistently in the top 25% nationally. In 2019, 30% of results were A*/A and nearly a fifth of the cohort achieved 3 or 4 A*/A grades. The overall pass rate was over 99%.

We attribute this success to excellent teaching, a strong pastoral system to support student progress, an expectation of and commitment to hard work by the students, very good relationships between staff, parents and students, but also the provision of a rich and varied curriculum. All these strengths combine with a unique ethos - a very positive and happy atmosphere where students enjoy contributing to and being a part of both the Sixth Form and whole-school.

Our aim is to ensure the students aspire to excellence and achieve success through participation. Whilst academic achievement is the number one priority, we also want to develop them as confident individuals and responsible citizens, provide individual challenge, but also help them to achieve personal ambition. Through our Careers advice and guidance we support a wide variety of destinations post-County; either Oxbridge or other Higher Education institutions, to study Honours Degree Courses, Foundation Degrees and apprenticeships. We also work with Surrey University and local private schools to share expertise in these areas

All students contribute to the wider-life of the Sixth Form in a variety of ways, by becoming involved in community enrichment activities, charity events, fund-raising activities, and the House System. We expect them to act as role-models to the younger pupils by offering them positions of responsibility and leadership. These experiences provide them with a wealth of opportunities, enhances their CV, and increases their chances of obtaining a place at University or employment in the long term.
