Director of Science, TMSP or UPS plus TLR 1.5 (£9,927)

Starting Date: 1 September 2020, full-time

Guildford County is an outstanding school seeking to appoint an exceptional individual to lead a highly successful department to teach up to and including A Level.  Science is a strong department in the school with a very supportive team ethos and 100% of students achieved A*-C at GCSE level, triple science. At A-level over a third of students averaged A*-A with many students progressing to read science at University. 

We are looking for a Director of Science with a proven track record of success in improving standards and raising pupil outcomes.  This is an exciting opportunity for a middle leader looking to extend their experience, or for an outstanding, ambitious teacher seeking their first middle leadership post. 

The successful candidate will be a committed team player with excellent organisational and motivational skills.  You must be able to demonstrate the ability to lead a successful department, drawing on your extensive teaching and leadership experience, as well as the enthusiasm to contribute to all other aspects of school life.
