GCSE Results Day

We are pleased that 79% of our students gained 5 or more A*-C grades, with 72% gaining 5 or more GCSEs at A*-C grades, including English and Maths. This year over a third of all grades awarded were A* or A grade, nearly two thirds A*-B and an overall pass rate of 99%.

Once again standing with the students in the sixth form common room collecting their results is a privilege. The smiles in the courtyard and the students’ delight at achieving so well and securely making the next step in their lives is fantastic. We look forward to welcoming back the students into the Sixth Form.

Deserving of a special mention are Elizabeth Baumberg and Rachel Dauncey for achieving an outstanding 10A*’s and 1 A grade each and Joe Taylor, Sam Goulden, Hannah Coles and Nick Brown for achieving an excellent 9A* grades and 2 A’s. Also worthy of note are Melissa Schaupp, Harley Nowak and Nicole Tunnel who topped the value added charts, achieving, well above their individual targets. A brilliant achievement. This year's GCSE results are the combination of an enormous amount of work from staff and students at Guildford County.
