Additional Opportunities in the Sixth Form

From Ofsted 2017: “Students experience a wide range of enrichment activities as well as significant opportunities to develop their leadership experience. They report very positively on the influence they have in shaping the school’s daily activities. Students also organise charity, sporting and social events which play a key role in bringing the whole school community together.”

We want Sixth Form students to enjoy their time with us, as well as leaving us as well-rounded young people. To this end, we have various leadership roles (Senior Team, House Officers, Music and Sports Ambassadors, Student Union leads, Learning and Teaching Council), as well as offering a wide range of other opportunities.

We have a Feature Lecture programme, Theatre trips, Model United Nations, various maths competitions, DoE, Physics trip to Cern, Art visits as well as Masterclasses at different Universities and for different subject areas. Whilst this is not an exhaustive list, it gives you a flavour of life in County Sixth Form.

This year has seen the welcome addition of a very popular Debating Club, set up and organised entirely by some Sixth Form Students. All this, together with the school House Competitions ensures ample opportunities for students to widen their academic and personal skills in a range of areas.
