Hours: 27.5 per week, 9.30am – 3.00pm, Monday to Friday, term-time only, 39 weeks

We are looking to recruit a Kitchen Team Leader to manage and lead our seven strong school kitchen staff.  We are looking for an enthusiastic person capable of working both independently and as part of a Team to motivate and inspire the team by creating an environment that promotes positive communication, encourages team work ethic, and demonstrates flexibility. You will report directly to the Catering Manager and work in tandem with our Chef, providing a variety of healthy options for our school children. We are a forward looking school always willing to consider new ideas and embrace vision, and are keen to introduce several new catering initiatives.

Whilst managing the team you will also be a key member of the kitchen and duties will include food preparation, serving meals, operating a till and general kitchen cleaning/washing up duties. Our school kitchen prepares its food from fresh and caters for a school cohort of approximately 1200. 

You will work flexibly within a small team, leading and supporting all aspects of the work of this busy catering service.  Previous kitchen experience is essential and uniform and training are provided.
