I am pleased that you have shown an interest in our school, and I hope you find our website informative. We look forward to meeting you at our Open Evening and one of our open mornings for prospective students and parents if you are able to come and see us then. You are also very welcome to make an appointment at another time to discuss particular matters and to see the school at work.  

We are designated as one of a small number of Specialist Music Colleges. Our status enables us to become a centre of excellence, extending our culture of participation in Music and English, our second specialist subject, raising achievement across the curriculum, working in partnership with local schools and community groups, and sharing our expertise with other practitioners.

 Guildford County School has an established reputation for academic excellence, and we are very proud of the results our students have achieved over the years. Complementing the academic side of life, we nurture a family atmosphere within the school so that everyone is known and recognised for their individual qualities and for the different contributions they make. We want each student to grow and flourish in a supportive and stimulating environment. Through our House system, which focuses on activities in sport, music, drama and public speaking, we run an exciting programme of performances and competitions throughout the year which are stimulating and enjoyable for staff and students alike.
