Facilities:
In 2005 Guildford County School was awarded specialist Music Status. Since then the School has benefited greatly from all that this entails. In 2006 a new Technology Studio was completed to house a range of Technology equipment. This development was funded by the music status and has helped us to develop our already thriving Music Technology Department.
The new Studio has also been created as a control position for our newly refurbished main Hall. The hall was Redecorated, given new curtain tracking to enable the hall to be divided into both intimate and large scale performance spaces for all aspects of the Arts and fitted with new Lighting Rigs.
The Music Department also has 2 large teaching class rooms equipped with Keyboards for students and a Piano for Performance and Aural lessons. One of the Classrooms is also equiped with 3 state of the art Emacs, which enable students to record and create original compositions using a variety of mediums.
