Record Breaking A Level Results!

GCS A’ level results 2014

Guildford County School are pleased to announce record breaking 2014 A Level exam results. 35% of A2 results were at grades A*/A, the highest the school has ever achieved. 60% of all grades awarded were at A*-B with an overall A’ level pass rate was 99.5%. At AS Level 42% of grades achieved were A or B and 92% secured A-E. Our students deserve huge credit for all their work towards these results during their time in the Sixth Form. They have received enormous support and encouragement on an individual basis from our staff and from their families.

We are pleased that a record 5 students have achieved a place at Oxbridge this year. Particular credit goes to Tom Archer who achieved 4 A*’s, Tom Sellin; 3 A*’s, Joe Martin; 3 A*’s and a B, Yishuang Chen, Tommy Gittings and Katie Hanlon who all attained 2 A*’s and an A, and Anya Draycott, Josh Morey and Jemma Zazzera who all secured 2 A’s and an A*. We are very proud of all our students who have worked particularly hard and deserve their success. The vast majority of A2 students who planned to continue into higher education have secured their university places, and we look forward to hearing of all our students' successes in future.
